After downloading (or creating) your compressed ISO, perform these checks before installation:
Instead of downloading a suspicious pre-compressed ISO, compress your own. This guarantees a hot, clean, and highly compressed file.
Step 1: Extract the official ISO to a folder (e.g., C:\Win11_ISO). windows 11 iso file download highly compressed hot
Step 2: Locate the large file sources\install.wim. This is 5+ GB.
Step 3: Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run: After downloading (or creating) your compressed ISO, perform
dism /Export-Image /SourceImageFile:C:\Win11_ISO\sources\install.wim /SourceIndex:1 /DestinationImageFile:C:\Win11_Compressed\install.esd /Compress:recovery
Step 4: Delete the original install.wim and replace it with your new install.esd.
Step 5: For the ISO to boot correctly, you must also modify sources\ei.cfg (or create it) to allow installation. But for a quick compressed ISO: use AnyBurn or ImgBurn to rebuild the folder structure into a new ISO file. Step 4: Delete the original install
Result: A Windows 11 ISO that is ~3.2 GB instead of 5.5 GB – truly highly compressed and hot because it came from your official Microsoft source.
