IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ACR USERS:
This bundle is for VSCO Film for ACR, which is different from the VSCO Lightroom presets.
How to use:
This is tricky. VSCO officially discontinued the sale of their legacy ACR/Lightroom presets around 2019 to focus on their mobile app subscription. You cannot buy Pack 01-07 from the official VSCO website anymore.
However, the files are highly sought after in secondary markets (eBay, Etsy, photography forums). Proceed with caution. If you find a legitimate license key transfer or an old hard drive with the files, grab it. It is abandonware that still works beautifully.
The Ethical Alternative: If you cannot find the bundle legally, look at RNI All Films 5 Pro (currently the closest modern equivalent) or Really Nice Images (RNI). But for purists, the original VSCO 01-07 for ACR has a "crunch" and color science that modern emulators have never recreated. VSCO Film Bundle -Pack 01-07- For ACR
Since you likely cannot code a new plugin, here is the most useful manual feature you can perform on the VSCO 01-07 ACR files:
VSCO discontinued official sales of the Film Bundle in 2019, shifting focus to their mobile app and creative tools. As a result, the ACR version of Packs 01–07 is now considered abandonware but remains highly sought after in secondary markets and archival forums.
If you cannot locate a legitimate copy, consider these modern alternatives:
The story of the VSCO Film Bundle is a story of a tool that solved a specific problem perfectly. It taught a generation of photographers how digital color works and proved that the "look" of film was a mathematical recipe that could be bottled.
While the company moved on to become a social network, the ghosts of Pack 01 through 07 still haunt the photo editing world, lingering in the presets panels of photographers who remember when VSCO was the only way to make digital look like film. IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ACR USERS: This bundle is
The VSCO Film Bundle (Packs 01–07) for Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) is a comprehensive collection of film-emulation presets designed to reproduce the color, contrast, grain, and tonal characteristics of classic analog film stocks directly within Adobe Camera Raw. Crafted to give digital photos an authentic filmic aesthetic, this bundle covers a wide variety of film types and photographic styles, from high-contrast slide films to soft, pastel negatives and gritty black-and-white stocks. The presets are tailored for ACR’s controls—exposure, contrast, white balance, tone curve, HSL, split toning, and grain—so photographers can apply consistent film looks while retaining full raw-processing flexibility.
Enter Visual Supply Co (VSCO). Before VSCO became the social media app known as the "Instagram for artsy kids," it was a dedicated team of creatives obsessed with the science of film.
Their mission was to bridge the gap between digital and analog. They didn't just want "filters"; they wanted emulations. They purchased actual film stock, shot extensive test rolls under various lighting conditions, and analyzed the specific way those films rendered highlights, shadows, and skin tones.
They released VSCO Film, a series of desktop presets designed for Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw (ACR).
