Virtuared V5.1 [ Easy | Tricks ]
If you are currently using Virtuared v5.0 or earlier, the upgrade to v5.1 is highly recommended, especially if you work with modern SSDs or APFS-formatted drives. The performance gains alone (multi-threading) will pay for the upgrade cost in saved time. For users of free tools like DDRescue, Virtuared v5.1 offers a compelling value proposition if you require a Windows-native GUI, automatic reporting, and the unique Rescue Mode for physically unstable media.
However, if you only occasionally copy healthy drives and have no need for forensic logs, the free alternatives remain sufficient.

When we released v5.0 late last year, we called it a "paradigm shift." We rebuilt the kernel, reimagined the dashboard, and introduced a level of virtualization that changed how our community interacted with their digital environments. It was bold, it was loud, and it was a massive leap forward.
Today, we are releasing virtuared v5.1.
This update isn’t about loud paradigm shifts. It is about precision. It is about listening to the thousands of developers, sysadmins, and power users who have been using v5.0 daily and saying, "This is incredible, but can we make it faster?"
v5.1 is our answer. We are calling it the Invisible Infrastructure Update because the best infrastructure is the kind you never have to think about—it just works.
