Critical Note: Version 6.10.06 finally resolves the "GPU bucket rendering" bug where adjacent buckets would show micro-seams in HDRI lighting.

If you are currently on V-Ray 5 or an early V-Ray 6 build, upgrading to 6.10.06 is a no-brainer. The stability fixes alone justify the update. Specifically, the memory management for Caustics has been rewritten. Previously, rendering caustics from water pools would crash 32GB RAM machines; now, it runs smoothly on 16GB. Furthermore, Chaos has announced that V-Ray 7 is in early development, but 6.10.06 is the "LTS" (Long Term Support) candidate. This means future hotfixes will assume you are on this build. Staying behind exposes you to security vulnerabilities in the license server and outdated texture loaders.
