Native macOS does not support Telugu MN out of the box because it is a Windows-specific font. However, you can still install and use it.
Important: macOS uses AAT (Apple Advanced Typography) instead of Windows OpenType. Telugu MN may render some conjuncts differently.
Installing the font is only half the battle. To actually type in Telugu using Telugu MN, you need an input method: telugu mn font install

You don’t need expensive software to write in Telugu. Just install the correct Telugu MN font (Gautami, Mangal, or Nirmala UI), add the Telugu keyboard, and you’re ready to type.
