Not all ZIPs are created equal. There is a dark side to the SFX market: the "10,000 Sounds for $5" pack.

Beware of the Garbage Pack. These are often scraped from obscure forums, have terrible bitrates (128kbps MP3 hiss), inconsistent volume levels, and no naming convention. You will spend more time hunting for a usable "door slam" than you would have building one yourself.

What to look for in a quality ZIP:
