Sideloading requires frequent re-installation if using a free Apple ID. If a user does not back up their game data to a third-party cloud service, they risk losing their save file every time the app expires and needs to be refreshed.

This is the gold standard for 2024. AltStore is an open-source tool that allows you to sideload IPAs using your free Apple ID. It doesn't require jailbreaking, but it has one catch: free accounts require refreshing the app every 7 days.
| Risk Type | Description | |-----------|-------------| | Malware | IPA files from unknown sources can contain spyware, keyloggers, or ransomware. | | Data theft | Could steal Apple ID, game credentials, or personal data. | | Certificate phishing | May ask users to install fake configuration profiles. | | Device compromise | Jailbreak-based IPAs can disable iOS security features. | | Account banning | Game developers may ban accounts accessing games via unofficial tools. | qooapp ipa
Several security reports (e.g., by Kaspersky, Trend Micro) have identified malicious iOS sideloaded apps disguised as game utilities.
Games installed via sideloaded IPAs (especially hacked or modified versions) are often detected by game servers. Developers of online gacha games are aggressive about banning accounts associated with modified clients. While a clean IPA of the official game is generally safe, the method of installation can sometimes trigger red flags if the app is unable to verify the official App Store receipt.
Step 1: Install AltServer Download AltServer from the official website (altstore.io). Install it on your computer. You will see a diamond icon appear in your system tray (Windows) or menu bar (Mac). Use a secondary Apple ID (not your primary)
Step 2: Install AltStore on your iPhone Connect your iPhone to your computer. Click the AltServer icon, go to "Install AltStore," and select your iPhone's name. You will be prompted to enter your Apple ID email and password. (AltStore creates a "App Specific Password" automatically; it is generally safe, but for max security, generate an App Specific Password on Apple's website first).
Step 3: Trust the Developer Profile On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management. Tap on your Apple ID email under "Developer App." Tap "Trust."
Step 4: Download the QooApp IPA
Open Safari on your iPhone. Go to the official QooApp website (qoo-app.com). Navigate to the iOS section. Download the QooApp.ipa file to your "Files" app. go to "Install AltStore
Step 5: Sideload using AltStore Open the AltStore app on your iPhone. Go to the "My Apps" tab. Tap the "+" icon in the top left corner. Navigate to where you saved the QooApp IPA and select it. AltStore will begin installing QooApp.
Step 6: Play! Once finished, QooApp will appear on your home screen. Open it, download your desired games (like Blue Archive JP or Uma Musume), and play.
Important: Because you are using a free developer certificate, you must open AltStore and tap "Refresh All" before the 7 days expire. If you do not, QooApp will crash until you refresh it while connected to the computer.
