  • Permissions: elevated privileges for driver installation on desktop OS.
  • Safety: full device backup, charged battery, and a restore plan.

    • If you cannot install any QCN editor, use a hex editor:

  • Example: Search hex 26020000 for NV ID 550 (0x226 little-endian).
  • Manually modify bytes → recalc checksum if required (some QCNs have trailing CRC).

  • Keep the backup in multiple safe locations.
  • Launch Software Download → Backup/Restore tab.
  • Select Restore → browse to your edited modified.qcn.
