Playbox Ipa May 2026
This paper introduces PlayBox IPA (Interpersonal Play Architecture), a novel framework for designing modular, sensor-driven play environments that adapt to children’s social, emotional, and cognitive states. Unlike traditional playgrounds or static digital games, PlayBox IPA integrates real-time behavioral feedback, adaptive lighting, and reconfigurable physical structures to foster cooperative problem-solving and emotional regulation. We present the system’s core architecture, a pilot study with 48 children aged 6–9, and quantitative results showing a 34% increase in prosocial interactions compared to conventional free play. Finally, we discuss implications for inclusive design, data privacy, and scalable deployment in schools and therapeutic settings.
