In late 2021, without any announcement, Valve (Steam) and GOG Galaxy slightly updated their distribution of Fable: The Lost Chapters. While not a true patch, this "Shadow Patch" did the following:

To benefit from this: Uninstall your current version, delete the Fable folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\, then reinstall fresh. This ensures you have the updated .exe.

This is not a graphics overhaul but a bugfix + QoL patch. It works on any patched 1.04 version.
