On standard Xiaomi boards, test points are labeled TP followed by a number. The exclusive A0101 cluster is different. Look for two tiny gold dots (or one dot and a capacitor leg) near the RF shield covering the CPU/PMIC. On the Redmi Note 11 series, the A0101 exclusive point is often hidden under a small piece of black tape next to the eMMC/UFS chip.
Visual Cue: The exclusive points are not marked "A0101." That is the protocol name. Look for two points labeled "TP-3454" and "GND" or "TP-P1" and "TP-P2". On the motherboard silkscreen, you might see a small "X" or a dot surrounded by a white square. That is your target. Exclusive test‑point pair
Normally, you enter EDL using a fastboot command (fastboot oem edl). However, if the bootloader is locked or the system partition is corrupt, that command fails. Shorting the test point physically bypasses the boot ROM and forces the processor to wait for a flash command over USB.
