Kumon Answer Book Level E2 English
This is the core of the debate. The Kumon Method is built on the philosophy of "self-learning." The student is supposed to discover the answer by looking at examples (the "Example" section at the top of each worksheet) and by reviewing previous work.

If you don't have the answer book, you can still grade. For sentence combining, read your child's answer aloud. Does it sound like natural English? If it sounds weird, it's probably wrong. If a student missed more than 5 of the first 10 questions because they were rushing, do not let them correct the existing page. Make them write the answers on a separate sheet of paper for that entire set again. The answer book confirms mastery only after the second attempt.
