Before the install, one must understand the philosophy. KaOsKrew, the group behind the repacks, operates on a simple, almost masochistic principle: reduce the game to its smallest possible size, regardless of the time cost.

Unlike mainstream repackers (FitGirl, Dodi) who balance compression speed with final size, KaOs pushes the needle to the extreme. They use custom-tuned compressors (often FreeArc, LZMA2, or Precomp) to strip away everything non-essential. Video sequences are re-encoded, audio is downsampled to perceptually transparent levels, and unused assets are discarded.   • Storage Space: While the download is small, the installed size will be near the original game's size. You need space for both the installer and the installed game simultaneously during the process.
  • Antivirus: Users are almost always instructed to disable antivirus software, as the "crack" files (modified .exe files) are flagged as malware by signature-based detection.
