Fix:
When the L130 displays the alternating red light error and the message "The printer's ink pads are at the end of their service life," the Adjustment Program is the only software solution (short of taking it to a service center).
How the tool handles this:
Risk Factor: The tool resets the electronic counter, but it does not physically change the pad. If the physical pad is truly saturated (soaking wet), resetting the counter will allow the printer to print again, but ink will eventually overflow out of the bottom of the printer.
The Epson L130 Adjustment Program is copyrighted property of Seiko Epson Corporation. Unauthorized distribution or use outside authorized service centers violates Epson’s End User License Agreement (EULA). This report is for educational and diagnostic purposes only. Fix:
Using a third-party reset tool will void any remaining Epson warranty. Epson can detect that the counter was reset via non-official software if you send the printer for repair.
Resetting the counter without managing the physical pad is like resetting your car’s oil light but never changing the oil. Eventually, ink will overflow, leaking out of the printer onto your desk, damaging electronics, or causing a permanent short circuit.
