Mojang / Microsoft has issued takedowns against popular Eaglercraft hosting sites (e.g., eaglercraft.org in 2023). The project survives via decentralized distribution (Discord, GitHub forks).
Risk assessment:
Many browser-based games cut corners. Eaglercraft does not. Redstone works as expected (comparators, pistons, hoppers). Farming, enchanting, and the Nether are all fully functional.
