On shared PCs, activation is often user-specific. Log in as a different Windows/macOS user, and Resolve may think it’s a new installation, prompting for the key again.
If you use the physical DaVinci Resolve Dongle, Windows may cut power to the USB port to save energy, causing the software to "lose" the dongle.
